Dining/Restaurants

St. Louis is home to the Anheuser-Busch and Falstaff breweries so a lot of the local fare goes really well with beer. Fried ravioli, down home burgers and delicious roast beef sandwiches are some local favorites. Power lunches of soups, salads and sandwiches are popular downtown. There are lots of great Italian restaurants throughout the city where pizza is preferred thin. Richmond Heights and Forest Park have more upscale eateries and wines in addition to beer.

Nightlife/Culture

St. Louis nightlife is heavily influenced by sports and music. Live music, jazz and blues clubs host both local and visiting musicians. The sports bars that surround Busch Stadium are a sea of Cardinals and Rams hats whether or not a game is playing. Laclede's Landing has nightclubs and lounges that appeal to a stylish set of sushi lovers and is the best place for a classy cocktail or two. The downtown loft district is the place to go for rhythm and blues, hip-hop and rap. Lafayette Square and University City are great places to sample wines from near and far.


Shopping

The St. Louis Galleria is the area’s premier shopping mall with high end shops, food venues and entertainment. The city has a rich shopping subculture that includes antiques, art, photography, beads, vintage clothing, lighting, blown glass, handbags, footwear and decorative accessories. Chocolatiers and candy makers have sweet shops. The Cardinals Team Store offers official sports memorabilia and souvenirs.

Things to Do

Ride to the top of the Gateway Arch and explore the St. Louis Riverfront. Follow the footsteps of explorers Lewis & Clark at historic attractions. Catch a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium. Explore Forest Park's lakes, walking paths and scenic gardens. Visit the Art Museum, Zoo, Science Center, Anheuser-Busch Brewery, Grant's Farm and Missouri History Museum. Children will love the Magic House and City Museum.
