Los Angeles - As the region where glamour was perfected and hip trends developed, the Los Angeles area dazzles. With its film stars, world-class museums, to-die-for shopping, and miles of parks, recreation areas, and sunny coastal fun spots, this area is one of the planet's great vacation destinations.

Burbank - There is a burgeoning entertainment industry in Burbank, which is home to many movie studios and television production facilities. NBC, Warner Brothers and Disney all have studios in the area, and visitors can tour these giants of the entertainment industry and see what goes on behind the scenes. Shopping in Burbank is well represented at Media City Center, where a wide variety of shops, restaurants and services are offered.

Pasadena - Pasadena rests at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains and offers a great escape from the confines of the city. Old Pasadena is not to be missed, with its upscale shops, great restaurants and pleasant weather its easy to see why this is an up and coming destination!

Downtown - Los Angeles bustles by day and sparkles by night. Get a great view of the show from the top of one of downtown's high-rise hotels.

A revitalized downtown LA has brought life, and tourists back to into the heart of this vast metropolis. Olvera Street, Union Station and Chinatown all anchor the downtown Los Angeles area. Great dining, fantastic shopping and a wonderful time can be had by all.

West Hollywood - Located just to the east of Beverly Hills and in the heart of the city is West Hollywood. This liberal enclave offers good food, great shopping (its close to Melrose Ave!) and with a slight European feel to it makes spending an afternoon here well worth your time.

Beverly Hills - Long synonymous with the rich and famous, Beverly Hills is a great place to go window-shopping, to have a nice (albeit expensive) lunch or to catch a flick. Beverly Hills is close to many of the sights and sounds that make LA tick, and should not be missed as long as you are in the area.

Santa Monica - One, if not the finest beach city in Los Angeles, Santa Monica beckons all who visit this city with a long, white sand beach, a meandering boardwalk, a carnival-like pier and more shopping than you will know what to do with.

Venice Beach - The alternative-lifestyle enclave of Venice beach harkens back to the progressive movements of the '70's and the psychedelic '60's. Home to more tie-die that you may care to see, a boardwalk with unimaginable views and an outdoor workout area where the next Mr. Olympia all show what they got. And yes, there are some canals here if you look hard enough.

Marina del Rey - This small community built around an estuary offers easy coastal access, great sunsets and more than a handful of restaurants to choose from. If you are looking to shop and/or eat, check out Fisherman's Village as it offers most of what you are looking for.

Hermosa Beach - offers a variety of Southern California options for any lifestyle By day and in the evening, Hermosa Beach is a special place, having one of the best beaches in the world and some of the best shops, restaurants, and businesses in the South Bay.

Redondo Beach - With its own pier, small boardwalk and Naja's infamous beer selection (over 700), Redondo Beach is a great place to bring the family for a day at the beach. The beach offers full amenities, easy access (with paid parking) and great views of the Palos Verde peninsula immediately to the south.

Long Beach - Overlooking San Pedro bay, the port of Los Angeles and the west coasts largest cruise ship terminal, Long Beach is an up and coming player in the destination scene here in Los Angeles. The ferries also run to Catalina Island from here, so enjoying lunch in Avalon is a picturesque boat ride away.

Huntington Beach - there's never a shortage of things to do in Huntington Beach, from fun-filled recreational activities like surfing, skateboarding, biking, boating, fishing, golf, tennis, and beach volleyball to shopping, dining, museum and theater-going.
