Knott’s Berry Farm Discount Tickets
Knott’s Berry Farm is synonymous with hair-raising rides and family fun. Believe it or not, this fabulous theme park started as a roadside fruit stand that Walter Knott and his family founded in 1920.
The stand on State Route 39 in Buena Park, California, not far from Disneyland® Resort, sold a variety of berries and other produce. It was a popular weekend destination for people shopping for everything from syrup and jams to fruit and candy. Much of the goods were made from a Boysenberry only found at Knott’s Berry Farm.
The stand’s popularity exploded over the years. By the 1940s, they added the Chicken Dinner Restaurant, shops, and several other attractions, including a replica ghost town. The park’s growth into a full-blown amusement park continued over two decades. It was in 1968 when they began charging admission into the park.

So Much to See and Do at Knott’s Berry Farm
Stretching across 160 acres, Knott’s Berry Farm welcomes millions of visitors. While much of it is devoted to yesteryear and America’s Old West in a nod to its humble origins, there’s plenty of fun and excitement to be had.
Among the rides not to be missed are the Calico Mine Ride, one of the amusement park’s original attractions, which takes visitors on a ride through the mines in an ore car. The Xcelerator is a giant roller coaster that hits speeds of 82 miles per hour. There is also the Timber Mountain Log Ride, which is one of the world’s first log rides.
