Everything You Need to Know About Brick-or-Treat Party Nights at LEGOLAND®
For families in the Southern California area, LEGOLAND® California’s Brick-or-Treat party is the highlight of the year. Every Saturday night from September 28th, 2019 until October 26th, 2019, LEGOLAND® California Resort is transformed into a fun-filled, kid-friendly Halloween bash complete with giant spiders, spooky characters and pumpkins galore. Find out everything you need to know about LEGOLAND® California’s Brick-or-Treat party and how you can make the most of this amazing seasonal event.
Operating Hours
Brick-or-Treat park hours are from 5pm until 9pm on Saturday nights from the end of September until the end of October. If you are planning to visit the park all day and continue on into the evening event, you will need a special wristband which you can get from two locations just inside the front gate. Some Brick-or-Treat stations are available starting at 3pm, so you can get a head start on the Halloween festivities.
Ticket Prices
Brick-or-Treat is ticketed separately from general entrance into LEGOLAND® California, but the ticket does include access to SEA LIFE® aquarium, live entertainment, and rides.
LEGOLAND® California’s Brick-or-Treat party evenings are not part of the Kids Free San Diego Promotion that runs through October. However, you can upgrade your general admission tickets to Brick-or-Treat tickets at guest services.
Events and Attractions
At LEGOLAND® California, there are plenty of fun and spooky activities that will keep the whole family entertained throughout the park.
Brick-or-Treating
Unlike previous years, this years Brick-or-Treat event is spread out through the entire park with candy stations placed in multiple areas. To make sure you don’t miss out on any sweet treats, grab a map at the entrance to scope out the location of all the trick-or-treat spots. Staff are friendly and generous with the candy, and encourage you to visit the candy stations as many times as you like.
Costume Competition
Make your way down to Miniland for the annual LEGOLAND® California Halloween costume competition. It’s a great activity for the kids who always enjoy showing off their fun, creative costumes. The emcee is friendly and always ready with a joke when interviewing the kids about their characters. If your little ones don’t want to compete, there is also a costume parade that they can join.
There are three different categories to enter: group, creative and LEGO®. Don’t forget to register a minimum of 15 minutes before the competition starts. First, second and third prize winners go home with a basket full of LEGO® merchandise and park tickets.
Astro-Bash Dance Party
Get ready to boogie down with the intergalactic dance crew at the Astro-Bash dance party. If your kids love the Pop Badge challenge, special Halloween badges are available to kids who snap a photo with the intergalactic dancers at the party.
SEA LIFE® Aquarium
Included in the price of the LEGOLAND® California Brick-or-Treat ticket is entrance to SEA LIFE® aquarium which features tanks full of spooky creatures to entrance and thrill the little ones.
Live Entertainment
Every Brick-or-Treat night, LEGOLAND® California hosts a variety of live Halloween shows at different locations throughout the park. Watch Professor Frankenbrick bring his monstrous LEGO® creations to life, or party with the Boo Crew with an all-new creepy crawly member, The Spider Queen, a spectacular stilt-walker. Over at the Courtyard Theatre, the Witchettes perform spooky hits that will have the kids singing and dancing all night long.
Activity Stations
It wouldn’t be a trip to LEGOLAND® California without building amazing LEGO® creations. LEGO® building gets a spooky twist at the activity stations dotted around the park. Build a LEGO® pumpkin or create creepy crafts along with your favorite LEGO® characters.
Rides
Of course, the rides are a big part of the LEGOLAND® California experience. While some rides do not operate during Brick-or-Treat hours, the rides that are open may have a shorter wait time than usual as the crowds die down. You can get the LEGOLAND® California app to check out the wait times for each ride and create an itinerary to help to make the most of your visit.
Visitors with Brick-or-Treat only tickets can enter the park at 4pm, which gives you time to enjoy the rides before heading off to collect candy. Some of the must-see rides for the kids this Halloween include Lost Kingdom Adventure, Dragon Coaster, Driving School, and of course Miniland, USA.
Photo Ops
Beyond the stunning seasonal decor, LEGOLAND® California California Resort has plenty of opportunities to capture Halloween photos of the kids with decorative backdrops and sets dotted throughout the park. There are also meet and greets with your kids’ favorite LEGO® characters and spooky costumed creatures.
Seasonal Snacks
While the kids may be content to munch on their Halloween haul, there are also more substantial offerings available from the food and beverage facilities in the park. Try old-fashioned candy apples, or crispy apple fries dusted in cinnamon sugar. And if you haven’t had enough pumpkin spice yet, try the pumpkin shake or the Monster Chili Mango Shake from Castle Ice Cream.

Book Online
Because Brick-or-Treat is only for a limited time, tickets sell fast. To make sure that you don’t miss out on any of the spooky LEGO® fun, book your tickets online ahead of your visit and skip the entrance lines.
Bring a Light
LEGOLAND® California is not usually open during the evenings, so while the park does have good lighting, it is a good idea to make sure that your kids have a glow bracelet or purchase a glowing pumpkin from the park to make it easier to spot your kids in the crowd.
Get a Map
Maps are available at the entry gate, but you can also download a copy online so you can map out your itinerary to see all of the attractions, shows, and candy stations you want during your visit.
