Why Knott’s Spooky Farm is the Perfect Family-Friendly Attraction
Knott’s Spooky Farm offers families the perfect spooky storm of Halloween fun: shows, costume contests, trick-or-treating across the park, and rollicking rides. Those aren’t the only things that make Knott’s Spooky Farm perfect for the whole family, however. There are many reasons why Knott’s Spooky Farm is the next autumnal tradition just waiting to fall into place.
It’s Spooky, but not too Scary
Unlike its grown-up cousin Knott’s Scary Farm, Knott’s Spooky Farm is geared to be suitable for the whole family. Recommended for ages 3-13, it’s ideal for kids who aren’t quite ready to experience the horrors of Knott’s Scary Farm’s giant Halloween spectacle.
Knott’s Spooky Farm provides frightening fun and harrowing hilarity that everyone can enjoy without going home shaking in their boo-oots. Open now through October 31st, Knott’s Spooky Farm is just waiting to provide your family with a day full of photo opportunities, big laughs, and crazy characters.
Come See Snoopy
Everyone loves Snoopy, and he’s here at Knott’s Spooky Farm now until Halloween. In the show “The Monsters are Coming, Charlie Brown,” the beloved Peanuts will have everyone in the aisles singing and dancing.
Enjoy your Halloween tunes with this special show presented by Hershey’s. With shows at 11:30 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm, there’s plenty of time to soak in the spooky Snoopy fun and also leave time for the famous trick-or-treating route through the ghost town.
Trick-or-Treat the Ghost Town
Throughout the colorfully creepy town of Calico, kids can participate in the annual trick-or-treating extravaganza. They’ll encounter friendly ghosts with lots of candy to share at the town’s Calico Bank, the Post Office, the Dress Shop, and the Gun Shop. Plus, they’ll get to enjoy all of the other kids’ costumes and revel in the creativity of the Halloween season.
With their trick-or-treating bag, they’ll get a map to the town of Calico that they can keep as a remembrance of their fun-filled day. Calico town is dressed up and ready to provide your child with tasty treats and spooky scares, from now until October 31st.
There’s a Costume Contest
The “Calling All Monsters” costume contest at the Camp Snoopy Theater gives the whole family a chance to dress up and strut their spooky stuff. From butterflies to vampires, wizards to princesses, everyone is welcome at the “Calling All Monsters” costume contest. Afterward, there’s a Peanuts Dance Party to get everybody up and moving to the Halloween groove.
Kit-Kat proudly presents a fun and festive pumpkin patch experience here at Knott’s Spooky Farm. You can stroll through the pumpkin patch with your whole family, where Linus might just join you to help you pick out the perfect pumpkin. For a nominal fee, you and your kids can decorate your own pumpkin or Halloween cookie. Magicians and crafters will be stationed throughout the pumpkin patch, giving you ample photo opportunities.
The Epic Halloween Hootenanny
Halloween season sparks an incredible transformation for the Timber Mountain Log Ride. The always-epic ride will now take passengers through a Halloween wonderland. During this special time of the year, the creepy creatures who live in the mountains make their way down to the log ride to celebrate the Halloween Hootenanny. The town’s Green Witch might make an appearance and venturing past the Calico Coffin Creeper Band almost always leads to a fun and frightening surprise.
Crazy Kirk and the Hillbillies will attempt to serenade riders with an original scary tune, and then you’ll swoop down Skull Mountain and weave through a labyrinth of jack-o-lanterns. This epic ride is open for both day and night guests, which makes it easy to fit into your busy day at Knott’s Spooky Farm.
Enjoy an Adventure to Camp Spooky
Reese’s is proud to present a trip to Camp Spooky, filled with 2D and 3D characters and special effects. Ride along the Grand Sierra Railroad to encounter camp as you’ve never seen it before.
Not all of Calico’s inhabitants move around on two legs. Down at the Livery Stable, guests can enjoy Stanley Scarecrow’s collection of creepy critters. Visitors of all ages can visit the rustic barn and enjoy the animals of this petrifying petting zoo.
Bird Cage Theater is proud to present some kid-friendly haunting tales! An interactive and exuberant cast shares Halloween stories that are sure to engage eager fall fans. The elusive, eerie player of the haunted calliope just might saunter onto the stage, too.
Freaky Food and Blood-Curdling Beverages
All of the fun might leave your family feeling famished. You’ll get to choose from color-changing Witch’s Brew Sour Apple Lemonade, Infected Pizza at Wagon Wheel Pizza, Smoked Bat Wings, a Bloody Eyeball Boba at the Coffee Hut, the signature Spooky’s Sloppy Burger at the Grizzly Creek Lodge, Burning Slaughterhouse Pizza for the meat-lovers, Devil Dogs at Fiesta Dogs, Sad Eye Joe’s Mac & Cheese Bites, or Hades Carne Asada Fries at Papa Loca.
With all of these options, you’ll find something to suit almost anybody’s Halloween palate and keep everyone fueled for the adventures.
