If that sounds a little too much, there are several moderate thrill rides, including two water rides, a flume roller coaster called Journey to Atlantis, and Shipwreck Rapids, a whitewater raft adventure. There are also a few moderate roller coasters.

There is plenty for little ones to do as well — you will probably have a hard time getting them to leave Sesame Street® Bay of Play®. Family members of all ages will enjoy the award-winning shows and marine animal exhibits. Who can resist watching penguins slide around and sea lions jump and dive?

While not as challenging as Los Angeles, San Diego is famous for its rush-hour traffic jams, so you may want to take travel time into consideration when choosing your hotel. Those 15 miles could take you anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour, depending on the time of day. You probably don’t want to spend your vacation sitting in traffic.
