2. Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride (Disneyland® Park)
This ride is one of the few remaining attractions that has been running since Disneyland® Park first opened in 1955. It is based on the beloved book The Wind in the Willows, taking you on Mr. Toad’s crazy ride through the countryside.
It’s a slow-moving ride, but there are sections that take place in the dark and some of the sounds can be loud, so use your discretion if your children are of a nervous disposition.
3. Mad Tea Party (Disneyland® Park)
Affectionately known as “the teacups,” this is a Disneyland® Park must. Your kids control how much spinning happens, which is great for those who love to get a little crazy. Watch them from the sidelines or join in on the fun!
Make sure you have enough time in your schedule to meet some characters too. Alice is often seen hanging out by the teacups ready for photos, laughs, and hugs!
4. Star Tours – The Adventures Continue (Disneyland® Park)
Star Wars-lovers of all ages will not want to miss Star Tours. This 3D motion simulator will make your kids feel like they are traveling through the galaxy at lightspeed! The ride gives you a sneak peek at what is to come when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens in 2019.
5. Toy Story Midway Mania (Disney California Adventure® Park)
This 4D ride and game will have your kids shooting at all sorts of targets as they hit the midway. Great for young or teenage Toy Story fans alike, your children will want to ride this one several times, as they figure out which targets grab them the most points and compete to smash their high score!
6. It’s A Small World (Disneyland® Park)
This attraction is a classic and one that every child should experience. Your kids will enjoy a slow boat ride as you travel the globe looking at all of the little figures. Ask your kids to identify the countries you visit, and just try and stop them from singing along!
7. Grizzly River Run (Disney California Adventure® Park)
If you have an adventurous child who wants to get a little wet, head for Grizzly River Run. This free-floating raft experience will see you and your kids traveling down a raging California river!
